December 7 Is Community Night At Winter Wonderland At The Beach

Free Festival Admission For Horry & Georgetown County Residents From 5 – 9 p.m.,

Plus, OMA’s Tree Lighting Ceremony Happening At Plyler Park

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—The City of Myrtle Beach, in partnership with the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), is pleased to announce that Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, will be Community Night at the Winter Wonderland at The Beach festival, Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place, 812 N. Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach.

From 5 - 9 p.m., residents of Horry and Georgetown counties will receive free admission to the festival’s holiday lights and ice-skating rink. To be eligible, those 18 years and older must show a valid ID with a local address upon entry. In addition, all youth ages 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult with a valid ID showing their address within Horry or Georgetown County to receive free admission.

Complimentary cookies and cocoa will be provided by Bojangles while supplies last as Community Night is expected to draw large crowds.

“We’re very pleased to offer a free night of Winter Wonderland at The Beach to our Myrtle Beach residents as well as those who live in Horry and Georgetown counties. Along with experiencing ice skating and holiday lights at the festival, locals will be able to enjoy all that downtown Myrtle Beach has to offer,” said City of Myrtle Beach Mayor Brenda Bethune.

In concert with Community Night at Winter Wonderland, the Oceanfront Merchants Association (OMA) will hold its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Celebration at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 at Plyler Park, 1000 North Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach. MBACC President and CEO Karen Riordan added, “Both of these free experiences on Dec. 7 provide a chance to enjoy an evening of dazzling lights, ice skating and of course, Santa Claus all amidst the food, fun and amusements of downtown Myrtle Beach.”
